Create your own Fairy Belle Mini Album!
AND .... some exciting news ... Toni has been so gracious to let me use the concept of this 6x6 mini album to conduct a Fairy Belle Mini Album Workshop! The album will look very similar to Toni's concept and design as you see below, but with a few different embellishments.

This is a ONE-OFF exclusive event with VERY limited spaces that I will be teaching in Bellflower, California at Custom Impressions on December 1st, 2012.  Further details and pictures of the sample will be posted to my blog here in the next few days!  Many thanks to Toni for allowing us to use her concept to create your own amazing keepsake that will be treasured for years to come.

To sign up today for the Fairy Belle Mini Album Class with Jodie Lee on December 1st, 2012 please call the Custom Impressions store (562) 925 59270.  The class is $60.

Toni has some more gorgeous photos of the inside pages of this stunning album that you can see HERE on her blog.  Thank you Toni for your generosity. You are so very talented! :)

Creating Art With Up-cycled Vintage Books!

1. Go ahead, it's ok. Rip up an old vintage book. Just make sure first that the pages are strong, it's a boring book, and that it's not worth anything on Amazon.com :)

2. Paint, splatter, cover, paint. Use gesso, inks, watercolors, glitter and glam sprays.

3. Layer, paint layer. Add funky up-cycled elements such as pieces of old tape measure, and a pinch of punchinella (from Gauche Alchemy).

4. Feature a black and white photo that brings the background design to life.

5. Add hand-made vintage book-page roses and some old shabby buttons to give it nostalgic charm and dimension.

Do you like what you see? Any thoughts or ideas?
