Look what came out of my fortune cookie today!

Cute, I thought, and stashed it away. I only just realized it has come true! 

I sat down tonight to start creating again, and I've been having some fun making mixed-media style background papers out of old wallpapers!   These are really easy to create. Why don't you try some of your own?! They are great starters for all kinds of creative projects. 

Here's one I thought you might like to print out and use in your paper crafting. Would also make great wrapping paper!

Happy Valentine's Freebie!

Happy Valentines Day friends!
Know that you are loved and cherished, even if no-one tells you that today. Your value and worth does not depend on someone telling you they love you, it depends on WHO YOU ARE, and how important you are to the one that made you.  For I believe that our Higher Power (God) loves us with an everlasting, perfect love that is not conditional or changing.  I get a lot of comfort from that, and I hope you can too.

Vintage Valentine Printables!

Hi! Some of you have been asking for these cute little printables again. I posted these last year and they were a big hit with my kids, so here they are again for you to download.

Simply print, make two little slits with a craft knife as shown below, and put in a lollipop or stick candy of some kind. Both sheets below are on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper, so you can print them out at home. The Valentines are different sizes. The boy Valentine is about 2.7 inches by 4 inches, and the girl valentine is about 3x3 inches.

It was the famous painter Monet that said that, and I have to say I fully agree. I can't explain what flowers mean in my life, but I'm so thankful God created them because they exist for our pleasure and bring so much beauty to our lives. I hope you find these antique wallpaper flower designs as inspiring as I do :).

Someone once said 'Don't let the tall weeds cast a shadow on the beautiful flowers in your garden". I like that.  We all have weeds in our life and we all have flowers. Let's look at the flowers, count our blessings, and thank God for the beautiful things in our lives.
