I can't explain what flowers mean in my life, but I'm so thankful God created them because they exist for our pleasure and bring so much beauty to our lives. I hope you find these antique wallpaper flower designs as inspiring as I do :).

Someone once said 'Don't let the tall weeds cast a shadow on the beautiful flowers in your garden". I like that.  We all have weeds in our life and we all have flowers. Let's look at the flowers, count our blessings, and thank God for the beautiful things in our lives.

Free Printable! Stories of Jesus Illustrations

Stunning antique illustrations that tell the story of Jesus, by Mary Cicely Barker. You probably know Mary Cicely Barker for her 'Flower Fairy' Series of Books. But perhaps you didn't know that she had a very strong Christian faith and that before she did the Flower Fairy series, she illustrated other books, including the one that these came from.

These images are close to my heart becauseBBible stories which fascinated me as a child. I spent hours reading them each night by myself before I went to sleep.  The life of Jesus really inspired me. 

I hope these illustrations by Mary Cicely Barker inspire you today.  She couldn't have painted them with such beauty unless they meant something to her personally. I hope you will find special meaning in them too.

Just in case you are wondering, yes, these images are in the public domain in the USA as they were created before 1923, so feel free to use them in all your creations. I'm so in love with vintage books ... especially children's books from the 199-1950s era.  It was called the 'Golden Age' of illustration because never before were so many artists creating such incredible illustrations ... many of them women too. So, for the rest of this week, I'm going to be bringing you some fantastic images from these very old artists as printables that you can use to add inspiration to your world.

The first is a set of ATC sized cards on a printable sheet. I can't remember the name of this book, but this is the same artist that created the Raggedy Anne series!  These would make adorable cards don't you think? or even a banner to hang in a child's room.

I always start dreaming of warmer days around this time of year, where it's Winter in the northern hemisphere. Hanging out for Spring - let's bring it on!!  So I have a spring freebie for you today ... these are actual vintage flower seed packets. Aren't they gorgeous?!! They used to go all out in designing the graphics for these packets about a hundred years ago, and so the art lives on.

These would make BEAUTIFUL cards! Or, if you own a store, use them as hang tags ... why not?
