I'm so in love with vintage books ... especially children's books from the 199-1950s era.  It was called the 'Golden Age' of illustration because never before were so many artists creating such incredible illustrations ... many of them women too. So, for the rest of this week, I'm going to be bringing you some fantastic images from these very old artists as printables that you can use to add inspiration to your world.

The first is a set of ATC sized cards on a printable sheet. I can't remember the name of this book, but this is the same artist that created the Raggedy Anne series!  These would make adorable cards don't you think? or even a banner to hang in a child's room.

I just know you're going to LOVE these! ... Just DARLING portraits from the late 1800s by one of my favorite photographers Julia Margaret Cameron. These are done with the old wet plate process which took a long time but created some of the most stunning photos with an ethereal, other-worldly quality. The depth, the soul, in these portraits ... oh my... simply beautiful! Try printing them on different papers. I like to use matte photo paper, but even white card stock works well.

Stunning fairy and mermaid illustrations from turn of the century story books by George MacDonald (I believe). Aren't these just gorgeous? What could you do with them? Create beautiful gift cards, or journalling cards (write on the back).

Free Printable Download! Vintage Seed Packet Cards!

I always start dreaming of warmer days around this time of year, where it's Winter in the northern hemisphere. Hanging out for Spring - let's bring it on!!  So I have a spring freebie for you today ... these are actual vintage flower seed packets. Aren't they gorgeous?!! They used to go all out in designing the graphics for these packets about a hundred years ago, and so the art lives on.

These would make BEAUTIFUL cards! Or, if you own a store, use them as hang tags ... why not?

Anyway, hope you enjoy them, and they provide hope and inspiration for warmer days to come :)

New Paper Collection! Simply Divine :)

I'm very excited to introduce you to sneak peeks of my new paper crafting collection with Prima called 'Divine'.  Prima has posted these pics on their blog a few days ago, hop on over to the PRIMA BLOG for more details!
