My Art Journal - Win one of your own!

I finished a small project tonight that I started some time ago at one of Anna Debrowska's classes that I attended at Prima a few months back.  This was an awesome class, and everyone really cut loose with their styles!  Here it is .... my 'Inspire Me' Art Journal :) ... This album cover is created with the Prima Mixed Media Book Covers which are made of canvas. They are really beautiful to work with. You can mist them, paint them, collage them.

Well, I need to get some of you over to my new blog here, so as a little incentive, I thought I would send one of these Mixed Media Book Covers (blank of course) to one lucky winner through the mail. All you need to do is join my blog here, and let me know what you think of my journal by leaving a comment for me below. Thank you, I will announce the winner in a few days!

  5. Hi again Jodie! I love the vintage shimmer effect over the whole album. Like a treasure hidden away in the dirt for years, now re-discovered. It's very ornate and beautiful.

  22. You have a special way of making muted colors and style comes to life and your projects speak to people. This lovely, special journal will be an inspiration to someone to document their journey - wherever it may take be. Thanks for the chance to win.

  23. What a special gift you have. I love how you take/design pretty, muted colored papers and make them come to life. Then take some embellishments, ribbon, etc. and throw them in for almost the final touch. It really does speak to the heart of the person looking at it. I have wonderful thoughts and feelings as I close my eyes and 'feel' all the texture on the front cover. What a wonderful giveaway. I would love to win this and take it along to document my journey.

  25. Hi again Jodie! I love the ornate almost melting wax effect of your book. It's an interesting mix of beauty and decay, at least to me. And I agree with Linda, please do a few tutorial videos!

  26. I know I commented earlier but don't see it here.

I love the way this is layered and textured. How do you do it?

  27. Mind boggling!I'd be thrilled if I could get one of these techniques right.

  28. Hi everyone. I took a class from Anna Debrowska to learn this technique. Check out her blog and I think she may have some youtube videos available, but the best thing to do is sign up for one of her classes. You won't regret it - lots of fun and very inspiring. She will teach you some basic techniques, and then you can create your own unique style. Her blog is: www.tworzysko.blogspot.com
